Although there is no widely accepted definition of geo-economics so far, we define it for this purpose as the study of economics related to geopolitical issues such as frictions and conflicts. It is an emerging field that employs methods of economic analysis to explore how international economic relations are shaped by geopolitics and vice versa. Geoeconomics is an increasingly central subject in economics because conflicts and tensions need to be taken into account in economic analysis. This conference will focus on the ongoing transformation of the global economic order, shifting from a purely market-driven paradigm to one where geopolitical considerations significantly influence economic policies and outcomes.
